One recipient in Moldova has the right to a parcel without payment of customs duty if:

  • cargo without commercial purpose;
  • it is intended for personal use – these are personal items;
  • the total cost of the parcel does not exceed the equivalent of $ 100;
  • the weight of one box should not exceed 50 kg;
  • the description of the contents of the parcel and its specified value must be complete and truthful;
  • the parcel must not contain items from the list of items prohibited for shipment;
  • if the parcel contains items that have restrictions on import into the destination country, they must comply with the customs regulations of the destination country, and, upon request, the customs authorities attach the necessary permits to them.;
  • in case of violation of the rules of shipment, the Customs Service has the right to impose sanctions on the sender provided for by law. (including partial or complete confiscation of the contents of the parcel). the sender will also be obliged to pay for unforeseen expenses incurred due to his fault, related to additional customs checks, fines, and/or the return of the parcel to the country of departure;

  • Shipments whose transportation is prohibited by the authorities of the recipient country or transit countries;
